While in Japan i went to one of the maid cafes in Akihabara. There's one now now in La too! i just found this website. They provide info for Hello Kitty events too! and also celebrated her 35th birthday>> Royal/T is a playful collision of spaces—café/shop/art space—presented in stunning fusion. An eclectic mix of retail and contemporary art reimagined in the surrounds of LA's first Japanese-style cosplay café.

Three Apples Art Exhibition

To celebrate the Japanese cartoon’s 35th birthday, Sanrio is hosting Three Apples, a multi-media exhibit in Culver City. In addition to a product retrospective, life-size apartment, and pop-up shop, the Royal/T space is also hosting an art show.
